- You need
- One 20 cm square of paper. No glue or scissors.
- Start
- Begin with one 20 cm square, coloured side down, with an edge at the top.
- Tips

- Press the short bottom fold through all its layers.
Your model is ready
Your flat chopstick sleeve is ready. Slide the ends of a pair of chopsticks into its open top, above the folded bottom.
Step-by-step diagrams
- 1
Mark the middle
Fold the right edge to the left edge, press and reopen the square.
- 2
Mark the left quarter
Bring the left edge to the middle guide, crease and reopen.
- 3
Mark the right quarter
Bring the right edge to the middle guide, crease and reopen. The guides now divide the sheet into four equal strips.
- 4
Fold the left strip inward
Fold the left quarter to the right along its guide, keeping the long edges parallel.
- 5
Fold the upper-right corner
Bring the upper-right corner down to the quarter guide, making the first diagonal edge of the mouth.
- 6
Fold the other upper corner
Fold the doubled upper-left corner diagonally down toward the middle. Take both layers together.
- 7
Bring the left side across
Fold the left half to the right along the middle guide. The narrow strip now lies over the centre-right quarter.
- 8
Close the overlapping side
Fold the right quarter left over the packet. Keep the two long edges straight and the upper mouth open.
- 9
Fold the bottom closed
Fold the bottom 1 cm behind the sleeve, taking every layer with it. Press this short fold firmly.
- ✓
Finish
Your flat chopstick sleeve is ready. Slide the ends of a pair of chopsticks into its open top, above the folded bottom.
