Common uses
B5 suits notebooks, journals and book pages between A4 and A5 in area. Japanese B5 notebooks often use JIS B5 instead of ISO B5.
How it compares
Two B5 sheets placed side by side make approximately one B4 sheet. Cut B5 across the middle of its long edge to get two B6 sheets. Whole-millimetre rounding can leave a 1 mm difference at a cut edge.
