A desk holder for business cards, cut from one sheet of card. A tall back wall, a low front wall and sloping side walls make an open tray where the cards lean and show.
- You need
- One sheet of card, 21.5 × 11.5 cm, a ruler and pencil, scissors and tape.
- Start
- Use a sheet of card, 21.5 × 11.5 cm, white side up, with its long edge across. From the left mark the columns 6, 9.5 and 6 cm wide. From the top mark the rows 6, 3 and 2.5 cm tall. The middle box, 9.5 × 3 cm, is the floor.
- Tips
- Measure the slanted edge on the side walls against the 6 cm and 2.5 cm ends so the sides meet the back and front exactly.
- Score each crease lightly with a ruler and a dull pencil point first.
- Make the floor 0.5 cm wider than your cards so they slide in and out.
Your model is ready
The holder is done. Tape the four corners on the inside, then stand 20 or so business cards in it. The finished card holder, with its tall back wall, sloping sides and low front wall.
