EasyAn Origami Tutor design2 steps20 × 14 cm · One rectangle

A folded card whose two doors meet in the middle and swing open like gates, from one 20 × 14 cm sheet. Good for thank-you notes, invitations and gifts, with a wide inside to write or glue a picture on.

You need
One 20 × 14 cm sheet of coloured paper or thin card, a ruler and a pen. A ribbon or sticker for the closure.
Start
Begin with a 20 × 14 cm sheet of coloured paper or thin card, white side up, with a long edge at the top. Use a ruler and a bone folder or the back of a spoon to score the folds.
Tips
  • Fold each end exactly to the middle so the doors meet without a gap or an overlap.
  • Score the folds first for a sharp edge on thick card.
