- You need
- One 6 in yellow square, one 1.8 in orange square, two 2.1 in yellow squares, glue and a pen.
- Start
- Use a 6 in yellow square for the body, a 1.8 in orange square for the beak and two 2.1 in yellow squares for the wings. Start the body colored side up and the others white side up, each with a corner pointing up.
- Tips
- Fold the two wings the same way so they match.
- Use a sharper yellow for the body and a softer one for the wings.
Draw the chick’s eyes
Glue the beak and the wings on. Draw two round eyes above the beak, one on each side. The finished chick, with its beak and wings in front.
Step-by-step diagrams

Fold the left point behind
Fold the left point back along a straight line, about a sixth of the way in from the left corner. The chick's left side is now straight.

Fold the right point behind
Fold the right point back the same distance. Both sides are straight and the same width apart.
- 3
Fold the bottom point behind
Fold the bottom point back along a level line about an eighth of the way up. The chick has a flat bottom.
- 4
Fold the top point behind
Fold the top point back along a level line just below it, so the top is blunt, not pointed.
- 5
Round the upper left corner
Fold the upper left corner back across a short slanted line that cuts it off, so the outline is rounder.

Round the upper right corner
Fold the upper right corner back across a short slanted line that cuts it off, so the outline is rounder.
